I've just updated this board to version 3.0.5. This is because it turns out that a lot of the members that "could not register" before were actually bots and when I corrected the email problems, they all spammed the member list at once with custom website URLs.
In addition to updating to version 3.0.5, I have deleted every single user on the board with 0 posts.
If all of this does not stop the spam bots, I will disable the "website" profile field.

It seems that spam bots are getting back in again but we are already at the latest version (3.0.5) so I can't do much about it.
Everyone please be careful what you click on. If you see a spam post, report it with the
button in the top right corner of the post. Do not reply to it (well, 1 reply saying "this is spam" would be OK but that's it).
